Silver white winters that melt into springs Tank top

So maybe we don't get white Christmases here in Texas, but winter is ending and spring is coming. Which I'm definitely not complaining about. And with the approaching season I think a new tube top is practical.



I came up with this after making a skirt pattern that I found from Grosgrain and decided that it wasn't ruffly enough. So I pulled it up a bit, took some scraps from the fabric and added a bow for my waist. I think it's cute and very springish. I don't know why I look so dark in the picture, but the shirt came out nicely, i mean as you can see I'm no photographer. And this shirt didn't take too long and only a yard of fabric :) Always nice.

I also made a skirt from the pattern that I'll post later. Thanks Grosgrain!





And since you've seen my pictures I guess it's good to note that I'm a little quirky.

Cardigan Refashion

So coming into making this sweater I didn't consider that it might actually turn out how I liked, so I didn't take a before photo, but as it turned out (in my own opinion) I thought it turned out nice.

But I cut the sleeves down and resew them together. Then I trimmed the bottom and with the one of the sleeve pieces I created a flower for the side and tah-da!


Sorry it's not a beautiful picture, kind of a difficult take.





I didn't realize how colorless the cardigan looked in the first picture. As you can see in this one it is not so dull.
